Tick-Borne Conditions and Veterans Experience

At the 2020 Q1 meeting of the Federal Tick-Borne Conditions Working Group (TBCWG), U.S. Veteran Kenneth Kozak shared his experience of trying to diagnose his tick-borne illnesses within the Veterans Administration Healthcare System. It took him 2 years to be diagnosed with Alpha-gal Syndrome (thanks to a non-VA doctor), and another year to be fully diagnosed with Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

Kenneth Kozak appeared at the 2020 Q1 Federal Tick-borne Disease Working Group (TBDWG) to ask for better VA training.
