Tick-Borne Conditions United (TBC United) has some really exciting news!

Our co-founder, Beth Carrison, INHC has been appointed to the Alpha-gal Syndrome (AGS) Subcommittee of the 2020 Tick-borne Disease Working Group (TBDWG). (A copy of the announcement can be seen here.)

Throughout 2018, Ms. Carrison testified as a patient diagnosed with both Lyme Disease and Alpha-gal Syndrome, and on behalf of the AGS community. Due to strong evidence presented throughout the year by TBC United and AGS patients, AGS was ultimately included in the TBDWG’s 2018 Report to Congress.

In the Working Group’s June 4th meeting, an Alpha-gal Syndrome subcommittee was formed in preparation for the 2020 Report to Congress. The subcommittee co-chairs include Dr. Scott Commins of UNC. The mission of the AGS subcommittee is to gather and present information to Congress about the many facets of this condition.

Beth Carrison’s appointment means that your needs, concerns, insights, and stories just gained a powerful advocate. Beth and TBC United can be your direct voice before the people who can help fund prevention methods and cures for tick-borne illnesses.
